Wi-Connect ! Benefits for Property OwnersImagine your property with high speed wireless Internet access available to your customers right at their vehicles. Users just pull into the site, open their computers, register and pay for a password [one time] if payment required, then log into the network and they are working. It is that easy! Today's traveler wants easy, high speed Internet access right where they sit. Wi-Connect ! delivers. The Wi-Connect service offers several benefits to Property Owners: As Service Partner: SoftCopy offers the Wi-Connect service to your customers, by agreement with you, providing a much desired quality service. SoftCopy operates and manages the service, and repairs network problems. You can offer the service to your customers as a Pay-To-Play or Free Access service, your choice. Free Access service can have password protected access or be completely open. If Pay-to-Play, SoftCopy even provides a 24x7 Call Center for user connection issue resolution. You get to provide the Internet service to your customers without the hassles. As Technology Partner:
SoftCopy Technologies is a local New England Company with years of experience
with outdoor wireless networks. Wi-Fi systems can be complex.
It is important to choose quality systems. As your network needs
improvement with greater usage or new technologies, SoftCopy can work
with you to design and upgrade the system. As Marketing Partner:
Wi-Connect offers a new means of web-advertising. Your property
will get a co-branded web page that will popup to each user after they
log in. The Welcome page greets the user with logos, explains the
service, and offers links to your website, the Wi-Connect website and
the Roaming Partnership list. Wi-Connect users can use purchased
Roaming Pay-to-Play passwords at Partnership locations and vise versa.
As Revenue Partner: SoftCopy offers Pay-to-Play service with a local coupon[password] purchase at the campground store, or with a 3rd party Authentication, Authorization Administration [AAA] service company where users purchase access right through the screen. All revenues are passed to the customer, less operating fees from the 3rd party AAA provider [typically 20-25%]. Please contact SoftCopy for more information. Small Things to look for in a Wi-Fi proposal: * Check the operating temperature range for outdoor equipment. It should be greater than -20degF to 140degF. Storage temps should be even greater. Anything less may fail often. * The signal Power and Sensitivity of an Access Point [AP] are both important. SoftCopy's high power 500mw AP covers the same area as five [5] 100mw medium power APs. And, our high power AP with 85db receive sensitivity is 30 times as sensitive [hearing area] as meduim power or consumer grade APs with 70db sensitivity. 70db sensitivity is well matched to 30-100mw transmitt power. Matching greater broadcast power with a 70db receiver is like shouting loudly with poor hearing. Buyer beware. * Too many antennas on the same channel mutually interfere and that slows user speeds. * Too many wireless hops between user and the site router/gateway will slow user speed [in many cases, each hop halves the user speed]. * Know if installation cost is included in the proposal. Wi-Fi designs and installations can be complex. Be careful with multi-antenna designs. |
