SoftBill was designed to solve a problem; to provide a small scale and inexpensive telephone service rebilling application for small to midsize organizations needing a manpower efficient billing operation. SoftBill fills this need perfectly, as a back-end Billing application for Call Accounting.

Telephone account rebilling incorporates 3 application areas: Call Accounting for telephone call collection- pricing; Account Receivables for telephone account tracking-billing; and Customer Service.

SoftBill can include Call Accounting, or it can work with any call accounting program as a front end. SoftBill's call accounting program provides automated collection of call records, flexible pricing with custom or commercial rate tables, and a powerful reporting system for call research and analysis.

SoftBill combines call records with customer account information such as payments-fees-adjustments for account balance generation, for generation of monthly bills, and for history lookup. Most significantly, SoftBill provides options for printing-emailing bills. Printing bills is efficient but, Emailing bills offers even bigger savings over the costs and time associated with mailing.

SoftBill provides customer account-history lookup including balance totals for current and past billing periods plus detail call and transaction information for each period. Customer conversations can be noted, actions scheduled and correspondence with customers made robust and simple.

SoftCopy Technologies is a full service telephone Rebiller and uses this software every day. This internal use assures the customer of a stable, functional and efficient application. Many small process issues have been addressed; such as batching payments onto printed deposit slips grouped by check-creditcard-etc, creating frequent printed MTD account summaries, printing-faxing-emailing a past bill during account lookup while the customer is on the phone, and even sending duplicate monthly bills to second destinations when warranted (ie: students and parents, or maybe email and print).

Tapit Call Accounting software is used for call collection and pricing. Tapit can collect call data (SMDR) via direct PBX connection or via a buffer box modem. Tapit can price calls by V&H tables or custom pricing. SoftCopy is an authorized reseller of Tapit.
